Cooking (Section I)

Chief Stewardess: Mrs. M. Murray (02) 6367 7240

All cakes to be cooked in a 20cm round or 20cm square tin, unless otherwise specified. No cakes to be cooked in ring tins in this section. No paper cases to be used. No frosting on cakes, must be iced with icing.

Entries in 8am on show day, JUDGING 8.30 A.M. SHARP. Download Entry form for Adults and Children Under 18 here.

Entry Fee; Adults = 50c, Children (Under 16 years of age) = free
First Prize = $1, Second = 50c (3 entries otherwise no second prize)


CLASSES
  1. Orange cake, iced 
  2. Butter cake, iced. David Coles Memorial Trophy (pictured below)
  3. Chocolate cake, iced with chocolate icing
  4. Banana cake cooked in a loaf tin
  5. 4 muffins same, no packet mix
  6. Date and Walnut cake in a loaf tin
  7. Cinnamon Tea cake, not iced (see recipe below)
  8. Fielder’s sponge filled with jam, not iced and no icing sugar
  9. Packet Cake, iced
  10. 6 plain patty cakes (iced) not in cases
  11. 6 plain scones
  12. 6 pumpkin scones
  13. 6 Jam drops
  14. 6 Anzac biscuits
  15. Bread made with bread machine
  16. 6 Plain Biscuits

Preschool age 5 and under

7 YEARS AND UNDER
A.    6 chocolate crackles    
B.    4 Arrowroot biscuits decorated     1st =$3 and 2nd = $2
C.    Novelty necklace made from bought sweets (eg Lifesavers or fruit loops)
